Community Electronics Recycling at give IT. get IT. (formerly SKILLS’ eWaste Alternatives) of 60 Industrial Street in Waterville:

All Maine households and businesses are welcome to use this service. give IT. get IT. reuses computer equipment to help disadvantaged people all over New England – and can properly recycle most other household electronics too.

Computer reconditioning
When you use our recycling services, you fill our pipeline of reusable technology that we use to provide disadvantaged Mainers will low or no-cost computers and laptops.

Self-service electronics recycling is available 7 days a week from 7am to 5pm. Acceptable materials during these hours are televisions, monitors, printers, and set top boxes such as VCRs, DVD players, game consoles, cable and satellite boxes, network gear. There are containers marked for these materials in the shed in the front parking lot. These fees are accepted and processed for free.

Full-service recycling is available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7am to 2pm. During these times, additional device types are accepted such as desktop and laptop computers, servers, radios, copiers, typewriters, projectors, batteries and most other electronics. Computers are always processed for free, but fees will apply to most of these other devices. Please call (207) 872-2615 when you arrive so our staff can admit you and these items inside our facility. Recycling fees can only be paid for with cash at this time.

We do not accept devices with refrigerants (dehumidifiers, air conditioners), light bulbs, leaking batteries or items containing mercury. To protect your personal information, we strongly recommend you only drop off computers during full service hours, inside the facility.

We are pleased to continue providing this community/environmental service and ask that all visitors respect the property, avoid breakage and follow these guidelines.
